Can you cut a needlepoint pillow or will it unravel?

I bought a new needlepoint pillow at a great deal and want to cut out some of the background (it is a large needlepoint of a dog, but I only want to use a small portion of the middle and cut out some trees in the background) and sew it into a bigger pillow using upholstery fabric. OK so my question is- can I cut the needlepoint down before I sew it? Or do I need to sew around the part I want to keep and THEN cut off the excess?
Thank you!

What can I do to stop being so impatient?

              Serious answers, please.

I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when I was younger and I’ve done a pretty good job handling the various symptoms, if I do say so myself. Still, ten years later, I can be incredibly impatient. It impacts my attention span and my mood. If I can’t finish something *now* (a game, a hobby, a chore), then I often don’t bother. I stopped making jewelry, doing needlepoint, etc., because I want instant gratification, and if I don’t get it, I typically don’t return to the project.

It’s also irritating that if I’m hungry or thirsty, I can’t think of anything else. My mood plummets and I have to go find food before I can continue what I was doing. I don’t have to be very hungry, just hungry at all – same with thirsty.

Worst of all, I lose my patience with the people closest to me. When all else frustrates me, I tend to take it out on those around me that I care about the most.

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
I see a therapist regularly and he made some suggestions but they have yet to be helpful. I’d love to hear what other people suggest.

Has anyone had experience with selling items on ebay?

Hey there, with the holidays just around the corner finances are very tight, been a rough year. I thought of going out and getting a part-time job, but I have two kids that need help with homework, dinner made, etc. etc. So I was thinking of doing crafts such as jewelry, rugs, needlepoint pillow cases, towels, etc. I was thinking of selling things on ebay and was wondering if anyone has ever tried this and what your experience was. Please let me know. Thank you.
